However the company realised that the growing transportation field was a more profitable source, and so the design was converted to carry 10 passengers.despite the change of use, the aircraft still had the appearance of a bomber aircraft. The first example was powered by a single engine Salmson 18CM engine, producing 550 hp, and two Salmson 9Z engines, rated at 260 hp. The first flight of the prototype aircraft took place in 1919.
