Aero Engine Services Ltd. and Air Parts (NZ) Ltd. amalgamated in 1973 to form New Zealand Aerospace Industries. Production of the Fletcher FU-24 agricultural aircraft and the AESL Airtrainer CT4 was integrated, and examples were delivered to Australia, Bangladesh, Iraq, Pakistan, Thailand, and Uruguay. The Airtrainer CT4 was delivered to the air forces of Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand, but went out of production. Company assets were purchased by Pacific Aerospace Corporation Ltd. (q.v.).
