The Z-35 Heli-Trener, developed by the Czech Moravan works, first flew in 1960. It was a small, two-seat trainer designed for maximum simplicity of structure and maintenance. Apart from the trainer version, the Z-35 was also offered as a single-seater for agricultural use. The prototype underwent intensive trials up to 1964, but demand was insufficient to justify large-scale production and the project was therefore dropped. Hi, great website, although I miss more Czech (Czechoslovakian)types as HC-2 and HC-102. I'll try to send more info and pics. And one more thing-the entire Czech rotorcraft research was dropped due to decision of Warsaw pact which decided that Czech were to build jet trainers and choppers will be made by Polish. Very sad and a big loss. There was huge market for these in Eastern block. Cheers, Kuba |
