Guimbal Cabri G2

The two-seat Cabri G2 light helicopter was designed by Bruno Guimbal, a Eurocopter engineer, and the prototype (F-PILA) made its first flight at Marseille-Marignane in April 1992. Powered by a 150hp Lycoming, it has a fenestron-type tail rotor and three-blade main rotor. The Cabri is built largely of composite materials and development has continued at Aix-en-Provence with restricted DGAC certification being issued on 18 April 1994.

Wanting to know cost, aircraft, projected maintanance, running etc. What has Eurocopter found so far operating them?

Kris maitland, e-mail, 20.06.2008reply

Ive seen they are trying to compete with the r22.At 250000 euros their dreaming!!they are a nice machine but the student stepping out of that into a r22 is gona find themselves learning all over again, thats wat makes the 22 such a good trainer.

Looks great, I've been looking for something to compete with the R22. Although it appears to be a little pricie, I will be watching to see what you do in the US. I might schedule a tour of your factory later this year. Please send more info.
