I worked for Cessna nearly 15 years, and l remember when 441 #6 went with nearly an entire company board members for a demo flight the pilot was hot shot who was reprimanded several times duty training at Cessna training academy for flying his Conquest to fast. He thought it was cute. The tail was weak due in part by design which subsequently grounded the fleet for nearly a year until a new elevator and trim system was developed. No other crashes occurred since due to speed.

Range? Oakland - Singapore via Honolulu, Wake and Guam. 33 hours. Weight at take off with ferry tanks full:12,490. Initial max altitude 240. 7 hours fuel burn to gross
Endurance: 15 hours. Argh!

The only plane I have ever flown that would exceed its redline speed in level flight. A delight to fly and a real performer. Only complaint is the weak nose wheel steering.

Fantastic airplane. Wish Cessna would start production again. The 441 would beat the pants off of the slotation jets on trans continental flights because of it's range. It has been speculated that this is why Cessna stopped production.
