The Hinaidi was used in the first Airlift in the world: The evacuation of Kabul in 1928/29.
The RAF evacuated the British legation and many other nationalities.
In one month 586 passengers of all nationalities, including 153 women and 165 children, had been rescued in 84 sorties through the mountains.
A heroic success.
I would be interested in any large scale photographs of the Hinaidi and Wapiti for an article I am writing to commemorate the event.

I have a picture of a Hinaidi with a "p" on the nose ,with my grandfather standing next to it. I have also seen pictures with various other letters does the letter signify anything.
