Hyvä herra Mikael
pahoittelut häiriöstä!
Yritän paikantaa Mikael Ojan, joka muutama vuosi sitten osti ja kunnosti MiG 23-MLD:n. Jos olet herra Oja, olisin kiitollinen, jos voisit ottaa minuun yhteyttä. Valitettavasti en puhu suomea (olen ruotsalainen), mutta olen Lahdessa, jossa suomalainen vaimoni asuu.
Paljon kiitoksia ajastas Lennart S

Hello, Mikael. Do you own a MiG-23MLD aircraft now, in 2023?

How much is the price?
Thank you

The Russian Defence Ministry has recently announced an upgrade programme for the remaining 24 An22's still in existence. Eighteen of the model are in long term storage the remaining six are only flown once or twice a year!

The upgrade will see the replacement of the engines and improvements to the flight systems. The biggest problem will be the replacement of the airscrews which have suffered corrosion and fatigue. As they are no longer in production and none are in store the manufacture of new ones will be somewhat onerous. The programme will also include the training of additional aircrew. This 40 year old veteran was due for retirement next year but the upgrade should see them in service until 2020. In theory the work done by the "Antheus" should be done by the An124 "Ruslan" but all the Russian Air Force An124's have been let out to the commercial sector, so much so that they have not flown for the military throughout 2011 or 2012. It seems that Ivan really has embraced capitalism!
