1 piece wing? copying the FW 190 idea?

Ye Ol' Nick, e-mail, 29.01.2016 21:51

Copy, aye. But a better one, it seems.

Klaatu83, e-mail, 18.02.2013 18:05

The Pyorremyersky was NOT a copy of the Me-109, the only similarity between the two was the use of the same engine, the Daimler-Benz DB-605.

"The Pyorremyrsky could outclimb the Bf 109G-6 and was more manoeuvrable..."

Although that was true, the first prototype didn't fly until after WW-II was over, so the results were purely academic. In any case, with the end of the war the manufacturing source for the DB-605 engines dried up as well, so there was no possible way that this fighter could ever have been produced in quantity.

Ilmavoimien fighter force that was permitted under the Armistice terms, the prototype was grounded after 30 hours flying and the programme terminated.
