After WWII, I bought an N2S-3 from War Assets Administration in Camden, SC.It only had 43 hours on the engine(Continental 220 with 7 cylinders)since Major Overhaul. I paid $500 for it and flew it home. Wish I could buy one today. It was a tough airplane. It was impossible to hurt one in the air unless you hit something with it.-Believe me, I tried!

The "N2S-(1 thru 5)" series of Stearman aircraft were the U.S. Navy's version of the Army's PT-13 /17 /18 primary training aircraft during WWII.
