This was a bomber trainer of which only one was completed. A similar Yak 210 was constructed as a navigational trainer which carried various bits of equipment not seen on the pilot trainer. Powered by 2 x 700 h.p Shvetsov Ash-21 radial engines the first flight of the 200 was on 10th April 1953. Initial testing revealed various problems which were all cured but the VVS decided that the Il 28U met it's requirements and in spite of the increased cost of this option neither the -200 nor -210 were taken any further.
