I have Google Earth images of a wreck that has the numbers 209 and other debris that matches the aircraft. (Engine, fuselage and landing gear.

Then, they must have collided with Amelia Earhart, because they were never seen again, although an intenive search was made. A dozen production models were made but it was itself replaced in service by the Pe-8.

A replacement for the TB-3, the DB-A showed superior performance. The prototype was overloaded with fuel and sent on a flight to Fairbanks, Alaska from Moscow. 14 hours later, they reported an engine out. Then, they must have collided with Amelia Earhart, because they were never seen again, although an intenive search was made. A dozen production models were made but it was itself replaced in service by the Pe-8.

It looks like a Heinkel or Junkers WW2 german aircraft... Some sort of copy maybe? Please somebody post about this aircraft. Thanks!
