| Designed by Ermanno Bazzocchi and first flown on 10 December 1957, the Aermacchi MB.326 light attack and training aircraft was one of the most
effective examples of its type ever built and was produced in many different variants, depending on the customer's requirements. The potential of the basic MB.326 as a
light ground-attack aircraft was first realised in the 326A, which was fitted with underwing hardpoints. The MB.326G variant was fitted with a more powerful Viper 20 engine. The most important version was the MB.326K single-seater of 1970, which was used in the advanced and close support roles.
