Designed by Marcel Besson as either a bomber or 10 seat passenger flying boat in 1926, it did not actually fly until 15th May 1930 by which time owing to financial difficulties the company had been taken over by ANF Mureaux. The aeroplane lost a stabilizing float during tests and performed badly. The project was abandoned and the M.B.36 was scrapped.
