Barry, 06.04.2016 13:45 Designed by Marcel Lobelle for Air Ministry Spec. 22 /26, this plane was a front runner with the Hawker Osprey with the latter winning out due to it's better sea water resistance and manoeuvrability. The sole Fleetwing remained in service as a sea plane trainer. It was involved in catapult trials from H.M.S. Norfolk in 1932 and after some 28 successful take off's the plane came to grief.
