@Tony Alegro the F-15 isnt stealth, and has by far the best combat record of any modern fighter, with over 100 kills to no losses. @DesertShadow Spoken like a true armchair general. Only a fool would underestimate America's military. Come to think of it, quite a few have, and paid dearly for it. Japan is one notable example. They curbstomped Russia BTW. If they can do it, there's no reason the US couldnt do the same if the unfortunate were to happen, and war broke out. As for the Berkut, the SU-47 as amazing of an aircraft as it is, was just a tech demonstrator with no weapons. Also, if stealth is "cowardly", I guess that makes Russians "cowards" too, considering how much effort they've put into fielding their own 5th Generation fighter in the form of the Pak-Fa/Su-57. War isn't a boxing match. No side is looking for a fair fight. Everyone wants to win as quuckly and decisively with as minimal loss of life to ones own side as possible. Thats the point. A little Sun Tzu might help you understand that.

The F/A-37 blown a Sukhoi S-37.

Hey, thats just a movie, the even the F/A-37 is just a fictional aircraft.

1984-1992 The American X-29 became the first forward-swept-wing aircraft in the world to exceed Mach 1.

It demonstrated that a highly unstable aircraft with forward-swept wings could be flown safely at high G-loads using a digital flight-control system.

Hank, e-mail, 14.02.2011 01:02

This is the very same aircraft that my mother flew in World War 3.

kazem, e-mail, 31.12.2010 09:00

aircraft is very great.
i love s-37

luigi, e-mail, 03.12.2010 07:25

a.casais, e-mail, 05.11.2010 20:58

The movie "stealth", "airforce one" and other movie made by hollywood is a pure bullshit, because if they do not shut down russians, they do not get the support from USA force to do their fake movies, they have to be the cavalry, let them remember Vietnam, with less air power send USA air force to hell, i can imagine the VC with this piece a warmachine.

Ta-183, 17.05.2010 13:36

That aircraft was in tha movie 'Stealth' right?
But it got its butt blown up by the F/A-37 lol

i want to buy that...

Nahas, 24.12.2009 11:07

Thats a cool aircraft. The forward wing concept gives a better control with a small radius.

T.B., 27.10.2009 01:58

Sorry folks, you can stop jizzing your pants. It's been canceled!

Asad, e-mail, 19.10.2009 22:19

Man this aircraft is really awesome good going russians The wings really look cool Its even better than the american crap called F-35

DesertShadow, e-mail, 03.10.2009 00:19

Tony Alegro, (sounds like a name out of a bad mafia movie, and British Leyland made a crap car called the Allegro) says "If it ain't stealth, it ain't shit" Must be American to make comment like that. Americans like stealth, coz, like submarines, they can be cowards and hit without being seen. They don't make good soldiers, never will, and rely too much on the technology to keep themselves safe. This is a great aircraft, yes awesome, yes beautiful, and it will work in combat if it has to. Pity Americans cannot ever say decent things about non-American products. Lack of education I suppose.

kasi, e-mail, 09.09.2009 11:29

it's looks so beautiful

Xenostrike 06, e-mail, 24.07.2009 07:09

Hmm This aircraft actually uses Soloviev D-30F6 Engine.. same as MiG-31... the AL-41 is used for MiG-1.44

Stalin, 15.06.2009 00:34

Red star was being, red star is being, red star will being.
Because it's russian army symbol.

dian, e-mail, 16.04.2009 19:04

awesome......

Tony Alegro, e-mail, 03.04.2009 00:10

If it ain't stealth, it ain't shit.

Karl, 25.02.2009 03:34

What's really interesting about this plane is that it was marked in the old Russian Navy red stars, and it had a Russian Navy paint scheme

max, e-mail, 12.10.2008 17:24

stephen russell, e-mail, 15.06.2008 03:47

calum morris, e-mail, 24.02.2008 20:12

codename (nato) is firkin

calum morris, e-mail, 24.02.2008 20:02

the production version is Su-47 the proto (only one thrust vector(rectangular)and slightly higher angle on the tail(very triangular)) was called S-32 not 37

memo, 27.09.2007 07:02

it's a great aircraft... but it is just the only one in the entire world as i know because it's just a prototype for to began the PAK-FA technology. in 2008 will appear the
SU-50 as the succesor of the SU-47.

Razor, e-mail, 28.06.2007 18:36

"Originally known as the S-37, Sukhoi redesignated its advanced test aircraft as the Su-47 in 2002..."

Mikplayeur, e-mail, 21.06.2007 02:28

It's a Su-47 no S-37.
