| Smoky Ray, e-mail, 02.11.2021 20:02 I was fortunate to visit Scaled Composites during the Grizzly development. Intriguing and groundbreaking (literally) Nothing currently can match its capabilities in modern design. Most STOL aircraft today have 70+ year old designs. it seems free thinking design for personal aircraft is asleep at the wheel nowadays.
Maybe the next Rutan is about to hopefully emerge! reply | | Barry, 12.07.2016 13:21 This was a "one off" built to test the concept if a canard STOL design. It was approved as the tow vehicle for the Rutan Solitaire sail plane and is now exhibited in the EAA Airventure Museum Oshkosh. reply |
