| Barry, 21.03.2016 17:50 Designed for the civilian war training scheme where private schools would provide tuition for military personnel there were three models of this craft, plus a one off re-engined model.The first model was the OTW 125 with 125 h.p. Walter Scarab, the next model was the OTW 145 with a 145 h.p. Walter Super Scarab and finally the OTW 160 with a 160 h.p. Kinner R-5 (photographed here).A total of 105 were built between 1936 and 1944 with some still extent to this day.

He and my dad, Bud Willson rebuilt it in our basement in Clarendon Hills in the '60's. I used to ride my bike to Hindsale Airport and polish the fuselage for rides. TWO otw CHASING AROUND EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF HANGAR #1m at 2-300 feet !Our machime was sold, and currently owned by a gent, in UPSTATE ny. It was sold to a civilian in early 1941 and taken over by the Navy for a trainer late that year. Currently have the OTW N34322 that was my father's. I'm managing his estate and am looking to see if anyone has interest in buying this beautiful bird. Still have current annual and this baby starts right up; just needs someone to enjoy it as much as my dad did.
