Sikorsky S-19

Not much is known about the S-19, which had two 150hp Sunbeam engines in tandem and a cockpit in the nose of each of the twin tailbooms that projected slightly forward of the lower wings. The design seems to have emanated from the Russian War Department, which ordered the RBVZ to match German experiments with twin-boom combat aircraft. The prototype was completed in late 1916, and it is assumed that preliminary flight tests proved disappointing.

This is the way I wrote it up:

The Sikorsky S19 was an experimental, twin-fuselage aircraft built in 1916 by the order of the Russian Military Department. Its military function was uncertain and the only built prototype was not armed. The crew of two sat in the nose of each cockpit in the twin tailbooms that projected slightly forward of the lower wing.
Two 150 hp Sunbeam engines, in a pusher-puller configuration, were installed on the lower wing in tandem and a large rudder was installed in the center of the tail plane.
The aircraft was built and tested, but only showed mediocre performance. After a minor crash it was abandoned.
