| staalman, e-mail, 13.03.2012 10:56 what happened to Romar's creator, Adolf Rohrbach? Some believe he was murdered by the Nazi's on the isle of Sylt in July 1939 Who knows more about this? reply | | gooda, 21.06.2011 05:51 The 3 German aircraft, named "Hamburg", "Bremen" and "Lubeck" were all scrapped in 1933. reply | | Barry, 13.01.2010 15:48 There were two models produced the Romar I (Werk Nrs 29,30 and 31), registration D-1693, D-1734, and D-1747 respectively. The Romar II Werk Nr 62 went to France on the 1st April 1931 as F-AKEM. The difference in the models was that the Romar II had BMW VIaU engines driving through a Farman gearbox. At some point the fin was changed on all models as can be seen in the photograph as opposed to that which is illustrated in the 3 view drawing. The 3 German aircraft, named "Hamburg", "Bremen" and "Lubeck" were all scrapped in 1933. reply |
