De cet appareil a été dérivé une version de bombardement refusé par le RLM, mais choisi par le Japon pour en dérivé le Mitsubishi KI 98 - appareil construit en peu d'exemplaire dont un est encore visible.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE THIRD JUNKERS G-38 WERE STILL ACTIVE BY AUGUST 1944 ON THE EASTERN FRONT, ALONGSIDE THE ME 323 GIGANT
