| The initial aircraft in the DR.400 series was the DR.400/125 Petit Prince, which showed its Jodel lineage by retaining the cranked-wing configuration, while offering a new four-seat cabin and a (fixed) tricycle landing gear. The more powerful Regent followed in 1972 along with the DR.400/160 Major, both replacements for DR.300 series types. Further variants were added in the form of the DR.400/180R Remo and the DR.400/120
Dauphin two-seat, and DR.400/140 four-seat Dauphin version. In 1997 the DR.500 President was derived from an updated DR.400L This and
other versions of this popular light aircraft remain available, with over 1700 sales to date.
