Short 320

The 320 was the ultimate torpedo-carrying seaplane to come from the Short stable during World War I, representing a combination of the best features of the earlier types combined with a more powerful 238kW Sunbeam engine. Main armament comprised an 450mm torpedo. The RNAS received 110 examples. Increased size and weight kept performance below that of the Short 184 and it therefore failed to equal the reputation of the earlier aircraft.
