Name lost due to an error, sorry ;), 02.04.2020 12:46 Further to Brian Dunlop's comments, may I add this information. The CW company had extended itself with a twin engined aircraft, known as the Swan. This left the company in dire financial trouble leading to the firm selling the rights to the Cygnet to General Aircraft Limited. GAL modified the design, fitting a tricycle undercarriage and giving the designation as the GAL Cygnet II. reply | Heretic, e-mail, 05.02.2014 19:54 This aircraft looks remarkably like a Miles Whitney Straight reply | Brian Dunlop, e-mail, 21.02.2011 22:58 The photograph is taken at Hanworth Airpark, Middlesex. It was here that General Aircaft built the GAL Cygnet which was very similar but had a tricycle landing gear. reply |
