There was a total of 7 built, 5 as noted, powered by Bristol Jupiter and two powered by Napier Lion engines. Whilst the R.A.F. was more than happy with the craft the whole of the country was so cash strapped that no more than this were ordered. Eventually, they were able to order the very much more capable Overstrand.
